Meet the Funders' has been designed to support early-stage SMEs to understand the full and diverse range of finance options available within the market that best support their growth plans.


This 12-hour mini-series will give you access to bespoke finance and pitch deck preparation workshops along with 1-2-1 coaching to help you prepare for investment. All participants that complete the programme will have the opportunity to pitch your proposition to a network of angel, venture capital and corporate investors.

Meet The Funders' is brought to you by NorthInvest, in partnership with Winning Pitch, as part of the existing Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership Investment Readiness Programme. NorthInvest has supported over 700 entrepreneurs to raise investment and over £9,000,000 of investment was raised in 2020 alone.

Investment Landscape – This workshop explores the various types of investment that are available. SME’s will receive a full overview of the finance and investment landscape including the different types of finance available for different types of business.


Pitch Deck Preparation – This workshop will take SMEs through the important elements that need to be included in a pitch deck. We will follow a standard structure approach, giving you the tools and confidence to successfully pitch your business to investors.


1-2-1 Coaching - Being ready for investment is not only about an investment deck, but also about how an entrepreneur can elevate their opportunity. We will take you through the fundamentals of being prepared for investment and making the most of your pitch. These 1-2-1 sessions are designed to further develop your investment proposition, along with making sure you get the most out of pitching to an audience of investors. 


Meet the Investors – SME’s will have the opportunity to deliver a winning pitch to a panel of active investors who have the capacity to invest. The panel will offer valuable feedback and support to each SME.
